President Donald Trump on Thursday accused half a dozen Democratic lawmakers of sedition “punishable by DEATH” after the lawmakers — all veterans of the armed services and intelligence community — called on U.S. military members to uphold the Constitution and defy “illegal orders.”
The 90-second video was first posted early Tuesday from Sen. Elissa Slotkin’s X account. In it, the six lawmakers — Slotkin, Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly, and Reps. Jason Crow, Chris Deluzio, Maggie Goodlander and Chrissy Houlahan — speak directly to U.S. service members, whom Slotkin acknowledges are “under enormous stress and pressure right now.”
Goodlander spoke to WMUR-TV, based in Manchester, New Hampshire on Tuesday. She was in Nashua. Goodlaners said she is doing her job, defending the United States constitution, and won’t be intimidated. She said she has been contacted by the FBI.
The Democrat said also she is “very concerned that the president is weaponizing the FBI to intimidate and harass members of Congress.”
Goodlander defended Senator Mark Kelly of Arizona, who is being investigated by the Pentagon over possible breaches of military law.
“Senator Mark Kelly is a patriot who swore an oath to the constitution and he’s doing his job. And that is what we are all focused on doing,” she said.
