Detectives hunting for a missing Midlands pensioner have launched a murder-suicide probe.
Brian Wright, 82, was reported missing on Thursday, November 20.
Search teams were deployed to the Langford area, Nottinghamshire, on Saturday (November 22) after receiving intelligence that he was dead.
A body was discovered in a field near Danethorpe Lane on Tuesday, November 25.
Recovery work was completed the following day, Nottinghamshire Police said.

Formal identification has not yet taken place but Mr Wright’s next-of-kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
It comes four days after police found the body of a 52-year-old man in an outbuilding off the A1133
