Mum of two 'just surviving' after Budget pushes disabled families 'to the side'
Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves announced a slew of benefit updates in her Budget on November 26, including scrapping the two-child benefit cap which will allow bigger families to receive more welfare support. But mum-of-two Lorraine Griffin revealed how little the Budget offered for families like hers.
Lorraine said: “I wish the Chancellor had used this Budget to recognise the huge challenges disabled people and their families are facing, and provide even just a bit more support. It feels like disabled children are not a priority at all, they’re just being pushed to the side.
