WOODBURY — The Glebe House Museum will host an Open House and Holiday Shoppe from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, at the museum located at 49 Hollow Road in Woodbury. Admission is free and donations are welcome.
The story of the “glebe” continues with the life of a Woodbury family during the early 19th century, as the Botsford family prepares for the holidays. Living in the Glebe House from 1799 to 1867, the Botsford family became the longest residents of the historic home, navigating the social and political changes during the turn of the century. Many of the holiday traditions that are presented at the Glebe House and are recognized today came into fashion during the 1800s.
The museum will be decorated with unique decorations, including ones that may be purchased. Costumed d
