TRAVERSE CITY — The trial of Steven Koon for the 1989 death of Linda Meteer will continue after a judge refused to dismiss the charges.
Judge Kevin Elsenheimer ruled against a motion to dismiss the charges due to pre-indictment delay on Wednesday. He said the defense failed to prove that the delay was prejudicial nor was the delay intentionally imposed by the prosecution in order to gain a strategic or tactical advantage.
