THE First Minister has dismissed Tory allegations that he misled the Scottish Parliament as “a wandering lot of drivel”.
Scottish Conservative leader Russell Findlay had made the accusation at the opening of First Minister’s Questions on Thursday, after asking about the SNP ’s future income tax plans.
Referencing the UK Labour Budget, Findlay said: “By freezing income tax bands, millions of workers will be forced to hand over even more of their wages. And the Labour Chancellor is not only screwing taxpayers, she's also borrowing even more money, leaving more debt to future generations.
“She did all of this, all of this, despite saying that she would do none of it.
“Does John Swinney intend to keep the SNP manifesto promise not to raise tax on Scottish workers?”
