GULFPORT, Miss. (WLOX) - A Make-A-Wish child flipped the switch Wednesday to turn on holiday displays at Gulfport Harbor Lights during the tenth annual Make-A-Wish Tree Lighting Ceremony.
Sebastian served as this year’s star, illuminating the tree display as part of the partnership between Make-A-Wish South Mississippi and the City of Gulfport.
“For the past 10 years, we’ve been able to partner with the City of Gulfport and make a big impact on our kids and have a part in starting off the holiday season,” said Shellie Moses, Make-A-Wish South Mississippi Director.
Moses said the organization has over 20 children in South Mississippi in their pipeline and over 120 throughout the state. She emphasized that all money donated to Make-A-Wish stays locally.
