Nationwide customers can put themselves in position for £100 bonus payments in 2026 by doing one simple thing.

The building society usually hands out free money each year to members who meet certain criteria.

It's part of the Fairer Share scheme which has run each summer since 2023 and seen millions of households get payments.

It rewards customers who have Nationwide current accounts, as well as either savings accounts or mortgages.

Accounts normally need to be 'active' as well, meaning they are used regularly and not just lying dormant.
