Ilia Topuria's return to the cage is set to be delayed according to reports.

Topuria won the UFC lightweight title when he defeated Charles Oliveira in June.

His win at UFC 317 also saw him become the promotion's latest two-weight champion, with fans eager to see him return.

Topuria is facing a growing queue of contenders ready to try and dethrone him at the top of the lightweight division.

But rumours have gathered pace that he could instead pursue a mega-fight with UFC welterweight champion Islam Makhachev.
