PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A national nonprofit organization is bringing the holiday joy to Valley families and people in need by providing thousands of Thanksgiving meals.

The Salvation Army Metro Phoenix is hosting its annual Thanksgiving Day meal at the Phoenix Convention Center South Building, located near 3rd and Washington streets . Doors will open to the public at 9 a.m., with free haircuts, live music, resources from community partners and emotional and spiritual support for guests.

Guests will then be treated to a hot Thanksgiving meal, complete with all the favorites like turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and corn. Meal service is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. and end at 1 p.m.
