QUAD CITIES (KWQC) - Multiple organizations across the Quad Cities are hosting free Thanksgiving meals Thursday to ensure no one spends the holiday hungry or alone.
One of the most well-known events is Mr. Thanksgiving , happening from 4 to 7 p.m. at Mercado on 5th in Moline.
Last year , more than 1,900 people turned out for a turkey dinner with all the fixings. Bob Vogelbaugh, known as Mr. Thanksgiving, said the dinner is about much more than food.
“It’s not about Mr. Thanksgiving,” he said. “It’s just about getting people together and showing the love that people can have for one another,” said Vogelbaugh.

In Davenport, People Uniting Neighbors and Churches , is hosting its 12th annual free Thanksgiving dinner from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at F
