Two brothers, ages 16 and 14, have been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a 22-year-old man near an Antioch apartment complex Nov. 22, police said.

Marek Winters, 22, and his 16-year-old friend were in a parking lot at the Willow Pointe Apartments on Hickory Hollow Terrace for an alleged drug deal when Winters was shot in his car, the Metro Nashville Police Department said in a news release.

Winters drove himself and the friend to a nearby gas station where he crashed. Both were transported to a hospital, where Winters died, police said. The 16-year-old suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Community tips led police to the teen brothers, who were arrested Nov. 26 on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.
