A Spandau Ballet legend has reportedly had to schedule his concerts around a "desperately needed operation" as he opened up about a painful health issue. Last year, Tony Hadley, who rose to stardom as the frontman of the new wave group during the 1980s, was forced to withdraw from a festival following what he called a "serious fall" whilst visiting Italy .

The incident left him with a knee injury requiring "major" surgery. Medical advice urged him to "minimise all travel" to prevent "complications". Speaking to Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer on Channel 4's Sunday Brunch the following February, he provided additional information about the accident.
