Shortly after 7 a.m. Thursday fire crews were dispatched to Max’s Auto Sales and Transmissions in the 600 block of Hook Road, Darby Township, for a fire.
According to fire radio traffic:
First personnel on scene reported smoke from the roof. Soon, numerous trucks converged. Flames were discovered in the corner of the first floor, and extension was found on the second floor.
By 7:30 a.m. crews reported two lines in service and the bulk of the fire was “knocked.” The incident was declared “under control” at 7:45.
A state police fire marshal and a Delaware County detective were requested to respond to the scene.
