BEAUMONT, Texas — A driver crashed a Ford F-150 into a home Thursday morning after apparently suffering a medical emergency and was taken to a hospital, according to police.
The crash happened around 10 a.m. in the 1300 block of Harriot Street.
The homeowner said he was drinking coffee when he heard a loud "boom." Four people were inside the house at the time of the crash.
The driver was traveling down Avenue A on a curve when the truck broke through a fence and smashed through the brick back wall of the garage, police said.
An officer at the scene told the homeowner the driver appeared to have experienced a medical condition that led to the crash.
Both the home and truck sustained major damage. No injuries to the home's occupants were reported.
