PHENIX CITY, Ala. (WTVM) - A 42-year-old man was found dead from apparent gunshot wounds on Wednesday afternoon at a residence on Cricket Drive, according to the Russell County Coroner’s Office.
Joseph Tassoni was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:37 p.m. at 42 Cricket Dr., Russell County Coroner Arthur Sumbry Jr. said.
Tassoni’s body will be sent to the Alabama Department of Forensic Science in Montgomery for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
The death is under investigation by the Phenix City Police Department and the Russell County Coroner’s Office and is being treated as a homicide.
