A Maryville man is awaiting prosecution in California on allegations he played a part in the 2010 disappearance and likely killing of a Sacramento woman.
Authorities extradited Jonathan Simpson earlier this month after arresting him at his Maryville home, according to the Monroe County and Sacramento County sheriff's departments.
Simpson was wanted in the disappearance and suspected homicide of Lynda Haynie, 39, who was last heard from in June 2010. Haynie was from Antelope, Calif.
According to NAMUS, the nationwide online resource about missing persons, Haynie's Honda Pilot turned up at the Sacramento International Airport several months after her disappearance.
