CENTRAL CITY, Ky. (WFIE) - Many firefighters in Central City spent their morning battling a house fire on Thanksgiving.

Fire officials with the CCFD say it was called in around 7 a.m. in the 700 block of N. Second Street.

Crews arrived on scene and reported finding a house on engulfed in flames.

First arriving crews were unable to go inside because the building was collapsing.

Fire officials say they did not discover anyone inside the home after the fire was put out.

They say a total of four homes were affected by the blaze, with the home that caught on fire being “completely destroyed”.

The other three homes reportedly had minimal to moderate heat damage.

A Kentucky Utility pole, Comcast and AT&T lines and equipment were also damaged.
