Building work has started on nine new luxury lodges for private buyers at a Suffolk seaside holiday park.

Photos show diggers on the site of the construction project at Felixstowe Beach Holiday Park in Walton Avenue, Felixstowe.

The park, owned by Park Holidays, provides both caravan holidays and holiday home ownership and is one of five in Suffolk owned by the firm.

As well as the caravans and holiday homes, there is also a swimming pool with a water flume and an entertainment complex.

A spokesperson for Park Holidays said: "The work you see at Felixstowe Beach Holiday Park is the preparation of concrete bases for a new development of nine luxury lodges for private buyers.
