Vancouver police made an arrest in a Wednesday hit-and-run collision involving a pedestrian in the 3300 block of East 18th Street in Vancouver, a press release from the department stated.

Around 8:30 p.m., police responded to a collision where a 46-year-old man was struck by a vehicle that then fled the scene. The victim was transported an area hospital with serious injuries, according to the press release.

Police located the suspect vehicle in an apartment complex parking lot near the collision scene and interviewed the registered owner, Michael A. Rhynehard, 43. Rhynehard was arrested and booked into the Clark County Jail on suspicion of felony hit and run, vehicular assault and DUI, the press release stated.
