Strathcona County’s Stuff-A-Bus fundraiser for the Strathcona Food Bank is taking place this Saturday.

Busses from Strathcona County Transit will be set up at every local Save-On-Foods location between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. to take donations for the Strathcona Food Bank.

All donations made stay in the community and make a difference to the lives of families in Strathcona County as the Christmas season approaches.

Last year, Strathcona County residents donated 8,668 pounds of food from the Stuff-A-Bus campaign, alongside just over $1,500 in monetary donations. The food bank is hoping to collect more this year as demand for food hampers increases.

Food bank usage within the County has increased 200% in the past four years, hitting unfortunate all-time highs.
