The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) has issued warrants for a 36-year-old man who is known to allegedly harass and threaten women that he meets on dating and escort sites.

It was reported to EPS that in 2022, a woman began communicating on Tinder with 36-year-old Matthew Edward Williams, who also goes by the name Matthew Galpin. The pair exchanged phone numbers, after which Williams allegedly began harassing and berating her. When she blocked his number, he reportedly used several different phone numbers to continue the messaging.

The harassment stopped for a time but resumed at some point in 2025 after Williams found the victim on a different site. After a meetup was arranged with Williams using a fake name and photo, he allegedly continued to utter threats.
