HINCKLEY, Ohio – The count for the 36th annual Meadows Turkey Bowl included eight fire pits, five dogs, four football teams, two food trucks and a lot of heart.
The pickup football game brought in a single-year record $652,000 on Thursday morning. It raises money for a targeted research program at the University of California-San Francisco Brain Tumor Center and for the needy of Medina County.
Cumulatively, the game has raised $5,654,800.

As swirling ashes from fire pits wafted with snowflakes, 150 to 200 people watched as four teams battled for bragging rights on the field at Mike Meadows’ company, 1st Day School Supplies , in Hinckley.
