A teacher has been banned from the profession after turning up drunk twice in one week, sneaking what was thought to be vodka from a Lucozade bottle.

Christopher Small, 35, had only worked at Charnwood College in Loughborough for eight days before he was sacked when he turned up drunk on two consecutive days. Confused pupils were said to have asked staff "is he drunk?" as he danced and waved his arms wildly.

A Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA) professional conduct panel heard that Mr Small started at Charnwood College on August 29 2023, and just a week into the job on September 5, colleagues spotted him drinking clear liquid from a Lu
