The woman who sparked outrage after she snatched a baby wombat from its mother while in Australia has been arrested over alleged hunting allegations.
Samantha Strable, known online as Sam Jones, is facing multiple charges over claims she lied about her residency in order to get hunting tags in Wyoming.
The influencer was booked into a county jail in Sublette, Wyoming, on Nov. 21, the Cowboy State Daily reported.
She is accused of falsely declaring she lived in the state in order to obtain several local resident hunting licences, according to court records.
Strable is now facing eight misdemeanour charges — six counts of false swearing and one count each of taking wildlife without a licence and nonresident hunting without a guide in a wilderness area.
