On Thanksgiving Day morning, East Orange and Barringer added yet another chapter to New Jersey football history. The two teams met at Paul Robeson Stadium in East Orange for the 113th time for their annual holiday rivalry game.
The Jaguars kept up their recent run of dominance in the series by taking a 21-7 victory over the Blue Bears.
“It feels good to be a part of this tradition,” said East Orange (9-2) starting quarterback Zach Concepcion. ”I’ve been watching it since I’ve been in middle school. It wasn’t the game we wanted, but we came out with the win and we keep moving on, keep moving forward, and we’re excited for next year."
While the Jaguars extended their win streak in the series to 16 and their overall lead to 65-39-9, this year’s iteration was the closest game the two teams
