NASHVILLE, Tenn. ( WMC /WSMV) - Steve Davis, the president of The Boring Company, said his long-term dream is to eventually connect the underground transit system in Nashville to Knoxville, Chattanooga, and Memphis.

“The day that Boring Company actually perfects a ZPIT [zero-people-in-tunnel], continuously mining machine, the conversation starts to switch from 20 miles in Music City Loop to hundreds of miles connecting Nashville to Knoxville, Nashville to Chattanooga, Nashville to Memphis because then we’ll have the speeds to do that,” said Davis.
