CLAYTON — In a game steeped in tradition, Clayton senior Quaddy Walls and his brother Ny’cere, a junior, made sure their names will be in the history books when the story of the Clayton-Pitman Thanksgiving football rivalry is told.
The two were key players as Clayton defeated Pitman, 20-7, in the 100th edition of this rivalry. Pitman still leads 63-33-4. This was also a West Jersey Football League Royal Division game.
Quaddy Walls, who also had a standout game on the defensive line, rushed for 152 yards on 25 carries and scored on a two-point conversion to be named the Clippers' offensive MVP. Ny’cere Walls opened the scoring by catching a 63-yad touchdown pass from classmate Gabriel Hill during Clayton’s first offensive series of the game.
