ROCHESTER, Minn. - In honor of Thanksgiving, the Rochester Salvation Army hosted hundreds of community members for a traditional Thanksgiving meal. About 20 volunteers came to give one hour of their time to help out with the annual event.

The meal made sure that no one was hungry, alone, or cold this holiday. Volunteer spots were full for the event. It included a lot who have been returning to lend a helping hand year after year.

Captain Michael Hanton of the Rochester Salvation Army expressed his gratitude to all the volunteers. "I'm always fascinated to how the community members of Rochester always step up for the Salvation Army."
