EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - A 20-year-old has been arrested for drunk driving and crashing with passengers on Thanksgiving morning.
The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office says 20-year-old Alexander Heck was the driver of a car that crashed early this morning in the area of Boonville New Harmony Road and Browning Road.
Officials say the car hit a dirt mount and crashed into a tree, sending debris everywhere.
According to the affidavit, blood was found on the driver and passenger sides, and beer bottles were scattered all over in the vehicle.
They say a trail of blood led behind a garage nearby and, while searching the woods, Heck showed back up on scene with a head wound.
Heck told deputies he had around five to six beers before driving and said there was only one other person with him
