EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - For 19 years now, Full Gospel Mission Church has given a Thanksgiving plate to anyone who wants one- no questions asked.

“We’re just a small church trying to do big things for God,” Organizer Nila Hite said.

The event has only grown over the years, organizers saying they hope with their help, no one spends the holiday alone.

“I don’t want anybody to spend Thanksgiving by themselves,” Hite said. “I did it one year when my kids were all grown, it was just me and my husband at home, and I don’t want anybody to have that kind of Thanksgiving. It’s special to me to give thanks and be grateful what you have and share it with others.”
