CINCINNATI — The Toledo Walleye overcame a late deficit Wednesday and defeated the Cincinnati Cyclones 3-2 in overtime.

Colin Swoyer scored twice in regulation, including in the final two minutes to force overtime, and Brandon Hawkins netted the game-winner in the extra period.

Swoyer opened the scoring less than four minutes into play thanks to assists from Hawkins and Tanner Dickinson.

Toledo maintained its one-goal lead for the next period-plus, with the score remaining at 1-0 after 40 minutes.

But the Cyclones tied things up and took the lead in quick succession to start the third as Zack Trott scored a pair of goals in the opening 2:04 of the period.
