YAVAPAI COUNTY, Ariz. — The weapons recently used to ambush sheriff's deputies on Sunday have been linked to other incidents across Arizona, the sheriff's office said.
Alex Heredia-Rivera, 21, and a 17-year-old boy were taken into custody on Nov. 25 after they were identified as suspects allegedly involved in firing a shot toward a sheriff's deputy on Nov. 23.
The shooting occurred as deputies were assisting Prescott Valley police in processing a scene near Carla Vista Drive. Occupants of a truck were using a green laser and fired a round at a deputy's vehicle. YCSO said nobody was hurt.
