ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — The United Service Organizations, or USO, provided a Thanksgiving meal to service members on Thursday at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
For Philip Brice, the day was special. The veteran is one of several volunteers who helped serve.
“It was given to you, give to others,” Brice said.
Brice just retired after 20 years in the Army and drove two hours from Augusta to be there to help. Because so many military members pass through Atlanta’s airport, this group of volunteers wanted to make sure they have at least one Thanksgiving meal before they make it home.
“Most of the service members are flying out of here,” Susan Euart, a volunteer, said. “They’re from Fort Benning, Fort Stewart, Fort McClellan in Alabama and they come up here and
