ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Restaurant owners are seeing an uptick in customers for Thanksgiving as many are choosing to ditch the hard work that comes with Thanksgiving dinner and choosing to eat out instead.
“Normally, I would be at my house cooking the dinner, but I’m happy to be here. Happy not to have something about the dishes and different things and enjoying the food and join the people,” said Phylis Clark.
People like Clark are choosing to spend the holiday with loved ones eating a meal prepared by someone else. This time, it’s at Home grown on Memorial Drive.
Owner Kevin Clark, who for the first time in 15 years, opened up the restaurant on Thanksgiving.
