LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - After a pretty nice Thanksgiving Day - the weather will start to take a turn over the next 24 to 48 hours as our first winter storm of the season takes aim at the region. Winter Weather Advisories and Winter Storm Warnings have been posted for parts of northeastern Nebraska and for areas to our east into Iowa ahead of the storm. Currently as of Saturday afternoon - Lincoln and Lancaster County and areas in southeastern Nebraska are not under any kind of winter weather headline just yet.
Into the day on Friday, overcast skies are expected across the coverage area with chilly, below average high temperatures. A narrow band of snow is forecast to slide through northern parts of the state through early Friday morning. This band could give us a brief snow shower in Linco
