KAPOLEI (HawaiiNewsNow) - Students and staff at Kapolei High School recently held a rally to urge motorists to stay sober if they plan to get behind the wheel.

It’s in partnership with the Keep it Flowing Mural Company and the Hawaii Department of Transportation, and will be the 18th Drive with Aloha mural completed across the state.

A high school student who recently lost her cousin due to impaired driving said, “If this message can save at least one life, then acts like this mural are important.”

The mural company said students use time during the sign painting workshop to express their support for sober living and driving through art by painting colorful and impactful signs guided by the Keep it Flowing team.
