The City of Edmonton is opening up the Coronation Park Sports and Recreation Centre in January 2026. The centre aims to be a community and social hub for central-north Edmonton.

The Centre will be opening ahead of schedule on Tuesday, January 27, with a grand opening celebration the weekend after.

The facility integrates the rehabilitated Peter Hemingway Aquatic Centre and includes new fitness centres, a training studio, walking/running track, indoor cycling track, Velodrome spectator seating, a bouldering wall, multi-purpose courts, an indoor playground and more.
