ALPHARETTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A suspect is behind bars after officers found drugs and several handguns inside a car near an Alpharetta hotel early Thanksgiving morning.

Alpharetta police said an officer was on patrol when they noticed a running vehicle in the hotel’s parking area.

The officer said the driver began to act suspiciously during their interaction, which led to drugs being found in the car, police said.

The driver was detained and officers continued searching the car. Police said they found several handguns, crystal methamphetamine, THC gummies and “additional Schedule I narcotics.”
