DES MOINES, Iowa (Gray Media Iowa Capitol Bureau) - Iowa’s top leaders are reminding residents that much of America’s Thanksgiving dinner likely started in the state.
Governor Kim Reynolds said she is thinking about what matters most during her final Thanksgiving at the governor’s mansion.
“It’s about bringing family together and just spending time together and creating memories,” Reynolds said.
For Reynolds, the holiday comes down to family and tradition.
“Family is so important to me anytime we can get together and celebrate each other, that’s a wonderful day,” she said.
Iowa Agriculture Secretary Mike Naig wants people to remember something else at their dinner tables: the farmers.
