PULASKI, Wis. (WBAY) — Thoroughbred horse racing doesn’t have a very big footprint in Wisconsin, but one man is hoping to change that.
Joe Moore is a Realtor and former Green Bay alderman. Now, he’s the owner of several thoroughbred racehorses.
Moore, who owns Silo Skyline Farms-Racing Stable, says his leap into the competitive world of horse racing was inspired by his daughter.
“I never really thought I’d ever have an opportunity to own them until I had a daughter, and once I had a daughter and she started begging for horses from the time she could talk, I just stopped saying ‘No,’” Moore said. “I just gave up, so we bought the horses, and it’s really grown from there.”
