Two people are dead following a Thursday afternoon shooting, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded shortly after 4:20 p.m. to the 600 block of Cedar Bend Circle in Orlando in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies found a man and a woman shot.

The man, who's in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene. A woman, in her 40s, was also shot and was sent to a nearby hospital, where she later died, deputies said.

A man was taken into custody, according to the sheriff's office.
