PITTSBURGH —
Icy roads were being reported in western Pennsylvania on Thanksgiving night, just as many drivers were making their way home from holiday gatherings.

The National Weather Service posted this special weather statement on Thursday evening:
"A light coating of snow has fallen on warm roads, bringing road temperature below freezing and turning any wet spots on untreated roads into ice. Slick spots remains possible through the overnight period. Please exercise caution in evening travel, particularly after the holiday dinner."
