FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- After hundreds of stops throughout Central California, we've discovered restaurateurs closely watch what's coming out of everyone else's kitchen.

Sometimes, the plates represent a mixture of cultures.

Sometimes, they're just over the top.

Raul Carrillo, Jr. helps his mother-in-law, Greicy, at Guisados Greicy on Shaw near Highway 99 in northwest Fresno.

"I love looking at the different styles, the different cuisines that you guys have to offer," he said. "I think that's what my mother-in-law and I, we go and sit down and say 'Wow, we've got to try that spot next.'"
