BEAUMONT, Texas — Southeast Texas nonprofits marked Thanksgiving by opening their doors to provide warm meals and companionship to those in need, with organizations including Some Other Place and Catholic Charities stepping in to support individuals who might otherwise spend the holiday alone.
Thanksgiving is a day filled with love and home cooked meals, which might be a privilege to some, but nonprofits can help bridge that gap by ensuring no one is left behind.
