Monday and Tuesday, Future Farmers of America (FFA) students from Dexter’s middle and high schools visited the town’s elementary school to pass on knowledge and love of agriculture to their younger neighbors.

Dexter Elementary School Principal Crystal Jaramillo said the two-day event was an opportunity for the students to see what agriculture, Dexter’s main industry, is all about.

Skyler Pierce, the ag teacher at the high school, said all of his FFA students were asked to pick an agricultural topic to pass on to the younger kids during classroom sessions held Monday. He said Rhonda Martinez and her students from Dexter Middle School were also involved in introducing the field of agriculture to the grade schoolers.
