ROSWELL — A $26.4 million major structure and roadway reconstruction project along U.S. Highway 380 from milepost 162 to milepost 164 (west of Bottomless Lakes State Park) and from milepost 184 to milepost 191 (west of the Waldrop Rest Area) is scheduled to begin on Monday, December 1.

The 7.4 mile project will include improvements to pavement conditions, mill and inlay, roadway signage, striping and passing lanes along two segments of U.S. 380.

“The addition of passing lanes on U.S. 380 will improve traffic flow and significantly enhance safety. The project improvements will provide the traveling public with a safer and more efficient travel experience,” said NMDOT District 2 Engineer, Francisco Sanchez.
