Detectives are assessing new information in relation to the murder in 1999 of BBC Crimewatch presenter Jill Dando, it was revealed today. Police are probing a Serbian assassin over the unsolved killing, reports the Daily Mirror.
The Metropolitan Police said in a statement it is assessing evidence published during an investigation linking Milorad Ulemek to the shooting. This includes a newly unearthed picture of the convicted double-killer wearing an unusual tie that matches one worn by a man caught on CCTV who is still wanted.
The Met said in a statement: "No unsolved murder is ever closed and detectives are assessing this information to understand whether it’s a new and realistic line of enquiry."
