Durham Sixth Form Centre has been named the Investors in People (IiP) UK Employer of the Year 2025 in the 50–249 employees category, receiving the organisation’s highest Platinum-level recognition at a ceremony in London.
The award follows more than a decade of organisational change at the sixth form.
After a difficult period in 2013, leaders set out a long-term improvement plan that led to an Outstanding Ofsted rating in 2017 and academic results that have since remained above national averages.
