In what he described as his biggest project to date, local house flipper-turned-builder Keith Carter has wrapped up a 10-home infill in Richmond’s Chimborazo area, on a site once tied to one of the city’s more famous family names.

Carter’s K.C. Enterprises of VA recently finished a row of 10 homes – four townhome pairs bookended by two detached homes – in the 900 block of North 36th Street, just north of the Bacon Retirement Community and Bill Robinson Park.

The 10 homes fill what had been two larger lots with a pair of bigger homes at 901 and 909 N. 36th St. Carter purchased the lots in 2022 and razed the two houses, the older and larger of which he said had fallen into disrepair.
